@Wranglerbutts Yeah I’m in the process of getting gastric bypass, my mom had it in the mid 80′s and her doctor told her to take tums for calcium. I can’t believe nobody told her this many years later that those don’t absorb. It kind of made me angry. I made her go buy calcium citrate calcium. I’m glad I’m having the surgery now, because there’s so much info about everything on the internet, books, etc.

I’m still upset though that my mom has gone for so long without getting her calcium.

  3. thanks for the info

  4. Very helpful. Tks!

  5. Wranglerbutts says:

Not sure why your surgeon suggested OsCal but it’s Calcium Carbonate and we as RNY patients should be using Calcium Citrate.

  6. I just wanted to touch base with you regarding your iron supplement. Is it Carbonyl? If not, you may not be absorbing it as well as you think. Please double check! You look great by the way! And I’ll be checking into your other videos as well! Since this one was posted near two years ago!

  7. Thanks that was great! What about multi vitamins? I was prescribed chewable prenatal, they taste terrible!

  8. Wow this is a great video, they did not cover a lot of those vitamins in my GBP class. Thank you for taking the time to make this video.

  9. It nice to have a good breakdown…Thanks :)

    Wow…thanks for the info.

I take the Barlean’s flax seed oil (sans the fish oil) and it’s great and also does the trick. I add a tablespoon to a protein shake. OK ok wait I did this BEFORE gaining the weight of 4 men (smirk).

Regardless, you’ll get the essential fats without the nasty fish taste.

Granted, your 3-6-9 probably promotes better health but it’s only healthy if you can hack it enough to actually take it ;)

Good looking out for us post-ops. I personally appreciate it!! Thx! –Lee

  14. What is your vitamin schedule….when do you take each of those. That is a TON!

  15. Seedcovers says:

Wow, that is a lot of vitamins! Great video very informative.

    Great video, thanks.

  17. I take the same Iron. It tears me up inside, but I take it at night. I have a horrible B1 deficiancy. It is so hard to get back to normal. My face goes numb sometimes. It sucks.
